Asking Prices Rise Year On Year By 5%
Research by property website Rigthmove has found that asking prices have risen by an impressive 5% year on year…
Commenting on these figures, they revealed that the average property investment is now valued at £237,767. However, even with these evident property price increases, Rightmove are worried that their momentum might start slowing.
With mortgage availability still limited, and the property market witnessing too many new sellers, this has weakened the momentum property prices have been accumulating over the last 12 months.
And it would appear that asking prices may be the key to understanding this theory…
Having risen by only 0.3% from May to June – compared to a 0.7% increase between April and May – property advisors feel that the aforementioned factors may soon put an end to this years property price recovery.
