Rents Rise 2.3%!

According to research by property website FindaProperty.com, UK rents have risen for the third consecutive month in a row to £839 per month.

Now more than £19 a month higher than they were at the beginning of 2010; year on year rents are also believed to have risen by 1.9%.

And after examining these statistics it would seem that most property locations across the UK have witnessed such rises, Yorkshire and Humberside in particular. Since March of this year, their rents have risen by 3.4% to £553 per month – 0.8% more than London!

Reviewing these rental price rises, many property advisors feel that falling property stocks are the main determining factor behind this growth. This combined with increasing demands from new tenants who have given up trying to climb onto the property ladder, and this has prompted many property investors to see rapid growths in their rental values.

Take London for instance…

In the last 3 months alone, rents have grown by 2.6% to £1,729, whilst annually rents are 6.4% higher than a year ago…
